My Material Haul for June

This is all of my lovely material for my June projects.

I only get to visit my favourite fabric shop Fabrix in Lancaster (link here) occasionally now that I've moved down south, so I got lots on my last trip there! I actually got a couple of these as presents too as it was my birthday at the end of May. The spotty fabric was a present from a friend and the green flowery and blue feather material were from my family. Such lovely presents!

I also managed to end up with a bit of a colour palette going on!

So my plans for this fabric...

The green flowery material is quite thick with a bit of stretch so I'm thinking trousers for that. Not sure I can pull off bright flowery trousers but they'll look great in that fabric! Or maybe a jacket and shorts, I'm undecided.

I'm going to use my shift dress pattern for the next two materials, both the teal and the green patterned one. I'm thinking the teal one will be for work and the other will be a more casual version of the dress. 

I'm going to use the light denim-type material to make New Look dress 6262, and I'm going to sew the coloured cord (just seen) round the middle to highlight the waist and stop it from just being plain.

I'm going to make the plainest New Look pattern K6124 (first on the left) with the lilac material. Can't wait to see how that turns out! The pattern came free with a magazine and isn't the kind of thing I'd usually go for but thought I might as well try it out.

Thanks to a great suggestion I'm going to make a kimono using the feather fabric...and I have no idea for the other two!
